Reformed Church of Furna
The reformed church in Furna in central Prättigau is an evangelical reformed church under the protection of monuments of the canton of Graubünden.
The church was built in the pre-Reformation period around 1490 in the late Gothic style. It was renovated in 1860, 1957 and for the last time in 1993.
The interior of the nave is covered by a wood-paneled barrel vault. The polygonal choir is covered by a filigree star vault. In the middle there is a baptismal font, which according to the tradition of the Reformed denomination is also used as a communion table.
In the 1930s, Furna and his church gained notoriety when the parish elected Greti Caprez-Roffler as the first female pastor in Switzerland, although it was not legally possible for a woman to lead a pastoral office at the time.
