Road cycling
Monument in tribute to the cyclist Josep Nicolau, born in Lloret de Vistalegre in 1907. He was a benchmark of Balearic and national cycling, both on the road and on the track, in the 1930s achieving important victories in the Vuelta a Mallorca, Vuelta a Levante, Vuelta a Catalunya, Champion of Spain on track and the first Balearic to participate in a Road Cycling World Championship in 1933 in France. He died on November 19, 1934 due to a fatal accident at the Es Tirador velodrome in Palma.
