Sculpture Park on the Reutberg – Stelenblick

The five-meter-high sculptures tower impressively. But their location on the Reutberg is noteworthy for another reason as well. It offers a sweeping view of Mellrichstadt and the surrounding area, all the way to the Rhön Mountains. This hill already had a special significance 500 years ago. A watchtower likely stood there, or at least nearby. A kind of signal station that served as a military defense for the town of Mellrichstadt. Anyone who visits the field of stelae will clearly understand the significance of the site.Many already do. The hill has become a popular destination for walkers, hikers, and cyclists.
