Charcoal charcoal kiln path
The Charcoal charcoal kiln path starts right next to the Hotel Basler Hof. It stretches over 2 km and tells the story of the charcoal burners on the Imbrand in stages. Imbrand - it was always burning. That's how this little piece of land got its name. Where the hotel stands today was once the Kohlstatt, the charcoal burners' home hundreds of years ago.
You can see how a charcoal kiln was built and what work was involved in it by looking at the demonstration kiln path that was created. Since the castle forest is mostly at ground level, this hiking trail is accessible to everyone!
