The Blankeneseer Sailing Club (BSC) is a sailing club based in Hamburg-Blankenese. In 2014, the club qualified for the Second Sailing Bundesliga from the 2015 season. The Blankeneser Sailing Club was founded on 17 September 1898. He is the oldest sailing club with a direct seat on the Elbe. Already in the following year the first regatta "Around the Sands" was held. 1909 appeared for the first time the club newspaper under the title The Elbspiegel. For the youth department, which was adopted on November 1, 1913, the first members were admitted at the beginning of 1914. This is today after the Kiel Yacht Club, the second oldest youth department of a sailing club in Germany. In 2015, the club had 841 members.
