You can drive to Vråby Plantation on forest paths. In the far west the plantation borders on fields, while in the north there is dune heather. From the 18 m high "mountain" Stagebjerg you can see the original landscape of the island in an easterly direction. From here you can see the Vesterhede heath with open grassy areas and typical Rømø farms. The Ruxendorf radar station of the Germans was located on Stagebjerg during World War II - and there is still a bunker buried under the sand.
