Officially this chapel is called "Kalvarienkapelle am Malefizweg".
The chapel was built around 1800 and restored in 2006.
The crucifixion group dates from around 1700.
Until the beginning of the 20th century, the criminals coming from Stein an der Traun were handed over to the Trostberg jurisdiction.
The Malefizweg runs from Stein to Trostberg and led through the hamlet of "Nock" as early as the 15th century. That is where the path is most beautiful. You have a great view of the Alz valley and Koster Baumburg.
