A visit to the wild boar enclosure near Erlangen is a special experience. Here you can observe grunting "black coats" (as wild boars are also called) up close. Especially in spring it is nice to watch when the little striped piglets romp around together while the fat boar is having its siesta in the immediate vicinity. From a viewing platform you have a wonderful view over the wild boar area. The enclosure is located in a forest typical of the region: pine with lots of hardwood in the shelter.
