Hiking

The Grevelingen (now the Grevelingenmeer) used to be directly and openly connected to the North Sea. As part of the Delta Works, the inlet, the Brouwershavense gat, was closed off from the sea by the Grevelingendam (1965) and the Brouwersdam (1971). Now it is a famous place for water sports and other recreation.
