Just 4 kilometers from the town of Pereña de la Ribera is the hermitage that venerates the Virgen del Castillo, which, like others, has an interesting history of apparitions that explain why the hermitage was built in this place in the 18th century. Every May 14 the day of the Virgin is celebrated with a procession and massive pilgrimage.
