Brzeg-Skarbimierz airport - liquidated airport and airbase, initially German, then Soviet. In 1939, planes bombing Poland took off from the airport. On the southern edge of the airport there was the "Brieg-Pampitz" labor camp - a branch of the Groß-Rosen camp. The area of the Soviet air base with an area of about 680 hectares included the proper airport with a runway and taxiways, almost 40 airplane bunkers, two air traffic control towers (one under construction) and facilities: barracks, several repair hangars, a housing estate and two fuel depots, in addition, a bomb depot. The airport had a concrete runway 2,500 m long and 60 m wide. Currently, an industrial zone.
