At the border triangle of Germany, Belgium, and Luxembourg stands a monument to the founders of a united Europe. A large stone block was erected for each of the six founding members. Each stone comes from a corresponding country. The German stone bearing the inscription "Konrad Adenauer" is a boulder from the Lüneburg Heath.

5 stones.
The European Monument has been standing just outside of Ouren, at the confluence of the Ribbach and Our rivers, since 1977. The location was chosen carefully: we are in the border triangle of Luxembourg, Germany and Belgium. Three communities, Heinerscheid in Luxembourg, Arzfeld in Germany and Burg-Reuland in Belgium, bought the land for the monument, which consists of five boulders from five European countries.
