Bodonci Church

The current Bodonci Church is not the original structure. An initial wooden chapel was built in 1792, followed by a brick church around 1800. This second church was renovated in 1860. The present-day church, designed by architect Daniel Placott of Budapest, had its cornerstone laid on April 20, 1899, and was consecrated on December 10 of the same year, making it a significant example of late 19th-century sacral architecture.
