Secured with the Sackturm Sacktor is as the northern city gate of the old town a landmark of Warburg. It was originally a kind of slip through the politically independent old town in the direction of Paderborn, because directly bordered on one side to 1436 independent Neustadt and on the other side of the episcopal castle. The Sacktor was built around 1300. It was not until 1443 the Sackturm added as a community building of the now united Warburg neighborhoods.
