Zwercheck Ridge Trail

Beautiful path along the German-Czech border... it is worth walking this path all the way to the Osser

The Zwercheck (Czech: Svaroh) is a 1,333 m high mountain in the Künic Mountains - a ridge between Bavaria and Bohemia. The border between Bavaria in Germany and Bohemia in the Czech Republic runs along the ridge.On the extensive, free, rounded summit there is a meadow and a smaller rock ledge with a summit cross and a good view over to the Großer Arber and the Kaitersberg and down to the Lamer Winkel.Not far from the summit cross you can see the "Nature Cinema" - take a seat in one of the 20 coveted box seats. The oversized "canvas" spans the entire mountain range opposite. The main actors in the nature cinema are the Arber, the Hohe Bogen, the Osser and the entire Lamer Winkel, and with very good visibility even the Alps. Depending on the season and the mood of the hiker, the connoisseur can let his individual thoughts run free, switch off with the colorful play of light in the sun and soak up relaxing impressions. Brilliant colors and touching beauty are included and a free bonus.
The altitude should not only ensure a unique view, but also "clear your head", which is known to be less and less successful in everyday life.

The Zwercheck High Trail runs along the German-Czech border, along the border ridge. The area is a capercaillie sanctuary, and it's best not to leave the trail. There are repeated, beautiful views of the Bavarian Forest mountains and the Bohemian Forest.
