Bilzen's town hall is a building from 1685 on the Markt.
The town hall was built after the original town hall was set on fire in 1636 by Jan van Weert's Croatian troops. Construction started in 1685 and the master builder was Lambert Derick, from Antheit. Initially it was part of a row of houses, but this was demolished in 1890, leaving the town hall vacant.
The town hall is a tightly symmetrical whole with a high basement, above which there are two floors under a wolf roof. Two beechnuts were placed on the roof ridge, reminiscent of the former name Beukenbilzen. The facade was made of limestone in the Maasland Renaissance style. The other facades are made of brick.
Stairs lead up to the entrance door. Below this is the door to the cache, located in the basement.
The platform is set up in front of the town hall.
