Nestled in the scenic gorge of the River Derwent, Matlock Bath is a charming village. It was in its prime during Victorian times, when its spa waters and scenery made it one of Britain's first tourist destinations. Lord Byron even went as far as to call it ‘Little Switzerland’ – just don't tell Shropshire's Church Stretton!

The village is still a popular place to visit, with some lovely walks in the surrounding hills, such as High Tor and the Heights of Abraham. There are plenty of accommodation options and places to eat and drink.
