In 1731 the married couple Rübens-Schieren had their house built in Schevenhütte. As was customary at that time, the builders used a closing stone with their initials I · R · C · E · S and the year of construction above a door (south cellar door). Presumably, the married couple Rübens also initially lived in this house, which was inhabited in later years by Mühlenknecht and in the vernacular "Eulenburg" means. The house, which is a listed building, is located on today's Nideggener Strasse in Schevenhütte.
