Lingmoor Fell (Brown How summit) is a 1,540-foot (469 m) Wainwright Fell in the Lake District National Park. I've hiked it 'up the wall' from the north-west and also from the winding trails to the south-east from Little Langdale. It's a great little fell with really impressive views of the Langdale Pikes and a stunning quintessentially English dry stone wall which runs across its length.
A lovely little Wainwright what it lacks in height, it makes up for with breathtaking scenery.
On a clear day, the views over Wetherlham and the Coniston range; Bowfell, the Langdale Pikes and Crinkle Crags are simply stunning.
The low height makes it perfect to keep for the short winter days or as a day out with the family.
With a start / finish at Elterwater, it is perfect for a stop at the Britannia Inn at the end of the walk.
Lingmoor means Heather Moor - absolutely stunning when the heather is in bloom.
The only downside is that it is an isolate fell. Should you wish to take in multiple Wainwright in the day; you will have to come all the way down to hike all the way up onto other fells.

Lingmoor fell sits above the langdale valley, with great views over to the Langdale and Coniston fells.
