The Teutonic Order of Ober-Flörsheim existed from 1237 until the end of the 18th century; the Otterberg monastery was wealthy locally. Over 550 years of the Teutonic Order of Knights and even today you can always see clues when walking through the town. Today's local history museum in the community center is the former manor house in the Commentary and is easy to find when you visit the “Kommenturei” street. There is also more information on the topic on a board in the courtyard.
