Stocksberg Castle is situated on the edge of a ridge above the Wurmbach and the town of Stockheim. The once extensive and mighty complex from around 1200 was expanded several times in the Middle Ages. A mighty keep and an impressive Renaissance building with a stair tower have been preserved. The castle is now private and cannot be visited. Some beautiful views of the property open up from the valley.
