Hiking

The Steinertseepark is a small but well-kept park on the Steinertsee. This is not very romantic and goes back to the former Steinert open-cast lignite mine. The site later became a landfill. In 1976 it was decided to create a park as a link between Nieder- and Oberkaufungen.

In the Steinertseepark there are several places to relax, a public toilet in the shape of a Dixiklos, a large playground with an elaborate wooden train and of course the Steinertseebahn.
