The Rennstieg Trail stretches 38.5 kilometers from the Hohe Schanze near Winzenburg to Hildesheim. In the Middle Ages, it was used as a courier route. Between Hornser Eck and Eberholzen, it runs alongside the Königsweg (King's Trail). On clear days, you can see as far as the Harz Mountains and the Brocken. The rest area here is a perfect place to take a short break.
