Alento Oasis
Located in the heart of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park, covering 3,024 hectares which includes a large part of the Alento River, the Alento River Oasis is a large nature park that offers a wide range of tourist services. Overall there is an earth dam which, blocking the course of the river, gives rise to an artificial lake of about 1.7 sq km. The naturalistic oasis develops along the right bank of the watercourse, made up of small lakes of important ecological value, which aims to help safeguard the wealth of biodiversity through conservation activities. The integrity of the natural habitat of the Oasis has been an original attraction for families, schools and sportsmen for years
