The best known and probably best standing wave in Lower Bavaria is the Isar Sohlschwelle in Plattling. This is mainly due to the framework conditions. Then you will not only find surfers from the region, but also from Munich, Regensburg, Straubing and possibly even further afield. The higher the water level, the cheaper and better the wave is to surf. River surfing is possible from two meters.
