Hümmling paths: Apeldorner Radde loop
From the Apeldorn church, the hike leads past the oak-covered farmsteads of the village and out into the fields. Passing woods and meadows you reach Nordradde, which, as the “native Hümmlingen”, heads towards the Ems. Following the numerous bends of the river, this hike offers the opportunity to discover some of the animals from the local river landscapes. Back in Apeldorn you will find another special feature of this small place: marked by an Ice Age boulder, this is the geographical center of the Emsland.
