Ermita de Santa Llúcia

The hermitage of Sant Benet i Santa Llúcia in Alcalà de Xivert is located at the southernmost point of the Irta Mountains, at 315 meters above sea level, along with other buildings and the remains of a 16th century watchtower. In front of the buildings there is a small square with a fountain in the middle, from where you can enjoy spectacular views: the Columbrets, the entire coastal plain to Oropesa, with the Cabanes Torreblanca meadow and Inside the top of Penyagolosa.
At the foot of the square archaeological excavations have been carried out in recent years, which made it possible to verify human occupations, which date back to the Bronze Age around 2000 BC. Returning.

The driveway has 12% and also 20% incline. Can be easily driven via the access road. The hiking trails are not possible by bike 😉 except maybe for professionals.
