A great compact old town high up on the ridge with no architectural flaws. Charming streets, great old houses, picturesque squares with fountains, interesting churches, small shops; everything very consistent! In addition, great views of the Orcia valley and the nearby Rocca d' Orcia enthroned on the ridge. Unfortunately, the old castle high up is currently a construction site. Unfortunately not completely car-free.

From up here, there are stunning views over the Orcia Valley.
A dreamy area, just as you'd imagine Tuscany to be – hilly and lined with cypress avenues.
There are also several hikes to enjoy here, and the Via Francigena long-distance hiking trail passes by.
