Highly recommended alternative to the main road. The continuously paved road is completely free of traffic and leads through the beautiful nature of the region. When ascending, you do most of the vertical meters right at the beginning. There it goes straight to the point until you have reached almost 900 meters above sea level. Then the road leads relatively flat into the forest, where it goes up and down a little. In the meantime, you can take a quick look at Lac de Montsalvens. After the forest, it goes back to the field, where the road leads slightly downhill to the main road. Then you can move on to the Jaunpass or the Abländschen.
