The Gargano promontory is a jewel of the Mediterranean Sea, also known as "the spur of Italy." Surrounded by nature, the nature reserve is an idyllic place for excursions by boat, on foot or by bicycle. The coast is full of splendid towns and beaches with crystal clear sea. The highest mountain is Mount Calvo at around 1,000 meters above sea level.

Very dangerous when cycling as there are no cycle paths and the car and bus drivers speed, overtaking each other dangerously, especially before bends.
