Day 1 of our Holland tour took us from Kaldenkirchen, where we had parked the car in a free Park and Ride parking lot, via Venlo to Helmond. We passed through some pretty villages until we arrived at the Lambertus Hotel. It is located right in the city center on the market square, it is simple but clean

Due to the rain of the past few days, all field and forest paths were quite wet, so we took a tour around the Cologne Green Belt, with about 99% of the route being on asphalt paths, the quality of which, i.e. the cycle paths, was sometimes very much to be desired.
