A new cycle path was built along the county road between Widdernhausen and Nintorf. Along the entire route to Rodehorst, the cycle path was largely constructed of asphalt, while light-colored concrete was used in the forested sections to protect the habitats of protected species such as the sand lizard. The project closed a previously existing gap in the cycle path network between Bergen and Wietzendorf.

Today, some time after completion, the cycle path remains in excellent condition. The smooth surface offers barely noticeable rolling resistance and allows for a particularly comfortable and safe ride.
