The parish church of St. Leonhard at the western entrance to Kartitsch. After his blindness, the last Count Leonhard of Gorizia saw the place for this church in his mind. Construction began on his endeavors. According to legend, the blind man supported the building with his faithful white horse and that is why the church is known today as the “white mold church”.
