The village church has been on the Klausberg since the 14th century, where previously there was only a chapel. The former parish church must have stood under the protection of the castle. Today's church, a single-nave baroque building with a slate half-timbered tower, was built in 1726-37. Its pulpit altar was modeled on the baroque altar in Naumburg's St. Wenceslas Church. The hourly striking tower clock built in 1837 was replaced by a radio clock in 1992. The old clockwork is now available as a functional technical monument, the pendulum is one floor below.
