St Peter's church in Rodmell backs onto Monk's House, famous for being the home of writer Virginia Woolf. The church itself dates back to the Norman period with what is thought to be an earlier, Saxon font. The interior has many interesting features from over the centuries, so if you've an eye for church architecture, this is a wonderful building to visit.

The graveyard has some lovely views and is a peaceful place to pause while hiking in the area.
