Behind Pumpstation Nord lies Provstgårds Hus, a simple gray tin house with an interesting story behind it. The house was built around 1916 by two brothers, Niels Provstgård and Søren Kresten Jensen, who lived there until the mid-1930s. The two brothers made a living from hunting and fishing and were known as revolutionaries in the field of new fishing methods and modern technology - for example, they were the first in the area to have a telephone.Today the house belongs to the Ringkøbing Skjern Museum and is rented out to groups and schools. Information boards have been placed by the house, where you can learn about the interesting history behind the house, but the house is only accessible by prior reservation or on Sundays. In the house there are several benches with tables that invite you to take a break. Even if the house itself is closed, you can make good use of it.de.naturstyrelsen.dk/naturerlebnisse/natur-guide/skjern-aadal/sights/#haengebroer
