The Hegering Bergen has built a so-called "forest classroom" in the forest near Wohlde.
Wooden tables and benches laid out in a semicircle can be used as classrooms. A replica of the "Köhler Hütte" offers protection from the rain. In an adjoining building, among other things, animal preparations and natural materials are on display, which serve as illustrative material. Outside there is a forest trail with information boards on various topics (trees of the year, forest mushrooms, etc.). Guided tours can be organized on request from Hegering (tel: 05051-4511).

The Bergen Forest Classroom is an extracurricular learning center located in a small forest northwest of Wohlde, established by the Bergen Hunting Association. It provides environmental education for school classes, kindergartens, and adults.

The centerpiece is the pyramid-shaped charcoal burner's hut, which serves as a classroom with visual aids. Outside, there is a forest nature trail, a natural pond, and information panels. Young hunter training also takes place there. The forest classroom was renovated in 2020 to ensure it remains an attractive learning center.
