Unfortunately, the area has already come down very much, but the hotel still has a lot of charm ... cameras have been added recently ... at least there are signs.

The Hotel Bruhnskupplung, which stands on a 74 meter high ice age elevation, the Malkwitzerhöhe, had cultural significance. The Immenhof Festival was held there in an open-air stage, which refers to the Immenhof films from the 1950s to 1970s. The hotel has a 21 meter high observation tower from 1902. Previously there was a restaurant on this very spot, built in 1870 by the painter Johann Grebien and later destroyed by a storm.

The hotel was closed in 2010 and the site has been derelict ever since. The buildings were scrapped, components and valuable interiors were auctioned off. The complete demolition in favor of a new building is planned.

The Bruhnskupplung residential area is named after Hufner Bruhns, a former owner of the site.[2] The poet and writer Klaus Groth wrote one of his poems here in July 1876.
