The Evangelical Reformed Church of Greetsiel was completed in 1401 after 30 years of construction. It was consecrated to St Mary until the Reformation and belonged to the diocese of Münster. As an elongated single-nave hall church built from bricks, it is a typical Frisian church from the 14th century.
As a roof turret, it bears the oldest ship weather vane in Lower Saxony from the 17th century.

Inside you feel like you are on a ship - everything is wrong. hehe.
Our theory on this: It was constantly stormy during construction and the plumb bob hung in the wind. In different directions, of course.
