Easy walking / forest path through light pine forests and with beautiful views of the Ariadne valley.

The ascent to Pico Bejenado via the Pista de Valencia opens up great views of the south and west of the Caldera de Taburiente. In contrast to the starting point at the Mirador de la Cumbrecita no parking permit must be obtained. The last 1.5km of the access road, however, are an extreme pothole track. Therefore, park already at the end of the asphalt road.

There are two ways to get to Pico Bejenado. The first starts from El Paso on the Pista de Valencia, the second on the Cumbrecita. Head for the car park on the Pista de Valencia. Follow the LP-302 from the visitor center of the national park in EL Paso for about a km in the direction of Cumbrecita. At the intersection, turn left towards Valencia. After a while, the asphalt road turns into a track. Shortly after the start of a second asphalt section, the car park is next to a hiking sign. (The track is very rough, it is better to park directly at the end of the first asphalt road.)

An excellent place to watch the world famous cloud waterfall. Unfortunately, this depends on a number of influencing factors. In my experience, however, you have the best chances between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., provided that clouds have accumulated on the east side of the mountain range the previous evening.
