Marsk Tower - the new landmark of the marshland - a 25 meter high observation tower designed by the world-famous architects at Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG).

With a unique location, only 30 km from the German border in Hjemsted near Skærbæk in southern Denmark, you can experience unique nature experiences in the first row with a ticket to the Marsk Tower. Because in front of your feet is the wide marshland and the Wadden Sea - Denmark's largest national park and UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is particularly known for its breathtaking nature and rich flora and fauna.

In good weather conditions you can see all the way to Esbjerg, Rømø and Sylt from the large viewing platform. The 25 meter high landmark will be the focal point on the 12 hectare area, which will also consist of a parking space for initially 125 mobile homes. If necessary, the space can be expanded to 275 mobile home units. In addition, there is a restaurant with an ice cream shop, a playground and a mini golf course in the area.

The Marsk Tower was inaugurated on Thursday, July 22, 2021 and is open from 9 a.m. every day of the week.

At the start of the tour, the weather conditions (no visibility) were too bad, so we didn't climb up. On the way back the weather was great (sunshine) but the tower was already closed. The tower is an architectural highlight, but you definitely need a head for heights, so I think it's definitely worth a visit. Even without a climb, it was an eye-catcher for us that is worthwhile.
