"The impetus of the Veses torrent during the Vaia storm had eroded the banks of the ford of San Marco. Subsequently the Veses, Carfai and Salzan associations had done their utmost to arrange the whole area surrounding the footbridge at their own expense, but this had to be done followed by a definitive consolidation of the embankments.Thanks to the 16,500 euros allocated by the municipality and the 4,000 euros from the "Il Veses" Association, the stone blocks were laid, welded together with cement to prevent water infiltration, the walkways leading to the footbridge and access for tractors to the ford has been rearranged."
