Frankenberg Castle is located just a few meters away from the Hinterfrankenberg castle ruins. Originally, a rival castle to Hinterfrankenberg Castle stood here in 1254, with which the Nuremberg burgraves wanted to secure their territory. When the disputes over the power were largely settled after the end of the Margrave's War, Frankenberg Castle was gradually converted into a palace.

A picture like from a fairy tale: Frankenberg Castle rises above the wide, gently undulating hilly landscape southwest of the Steigerwald. With medieval towers like an enchanted knight's castle, flanked by steep vineyards.
For many years, this gem of Franconian history had a Sleeping Beauty existence. Now, figuratively speaking, it is kissed awake: new shine is created in old walls. The new owner, Prof. Dr. Dr. Peter Löw, restored with great effort, Frankenberg Castle and the associated winery with outstanding historical locations, in which a fabulous potential lies dormant.
