The Ermita de Santa Cristina is located 3.5 km from the center of the Villa de Lloret de Mar, on a mound that dominates the Playa de Santa Cristina. It is a work of the municipality of Lloret de Mar (Selva) included in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia.

Santa Cristina is the patron saint of Lloret de Mar and this temple is its most appreciated symbol. During the town's Fiesta Mayor (July 24), one of the relics of the Saint is transported in procession by sea from Platja Gran de Lloret to Platja de Santa Cristina, at the foot of the cliff where the hermitage.

The original chapel dates from the 14th century, although the current hermitage was built at the end of the 18th century around the first one, since its demolition was not allowed until the new temple was finished.

The architectural style of the current Hermitage of Santa Cristina is mainly Greco-Roman. The temple has a particular artistic interest, both for its high Italian marble altar, and for its collection of miniature ship models given as an offering to the Saint by devout sailors.
