The village Bugk was originally planned as a roundling. Bugk was first mentioned in documents in 1416. Rundlinge are usually located on a high place near a lowland. The settlement form is an indication that Bugk settled in Slavs. Also the name "Bugk" comes from the Lower Slavic and means "beech". He points out that in this area also other tree species were to be found except the pine.
