The Murmlisteig is a very demanding but also worth seeing hiking trail. Sometimes it goes over large stones, sometimes over snow fields. If you're lucky, you'll see marmots along the way

I would recommend sturdy shoes and hiking sticks, especially to inexperienced hikers, as the small rivulets and scree fields make it very slippery. If you are very calm, you might even see a marmot with a bit of luck.
