The Heidenburgwarte came into being from the building blocks of a Roman mountain fort that was destroyed in 353 AD. Today's control room stands on the 390 meter high Kreimberg and is five meters high. A viewing platform of the control room can be reached via twelve steps. Even today you can see Roman stones and picture stones in the walls as well as remains of the Celtic ring wall. Inside the former fortifications, the Heidenburg Association has created a forest fairground with a hut.
