Road Cycling Highlight (Segment)
The Gaichtpass connects the Lechtal in Tyrol with the Tannheimer Tal. Its highest elevation is at 1093 meters, starting in Weissenbach am Lech at 882 meters altitude. The ascent is manageable, so a wonderful pass to get used to climbing in the beautiful Tannheimer Tal.
Although short, but quite rewarding section, which rises in several serpentines from the Lech Valley into the Tannheimer Tal. Very moderate slope and well developed. However, not a "real" pass, but "only" the access to the 250 meters above the Lech Tannheimer valley. The associated departure can be found only at the other end of the Tannheimer valley on Oberjoch down to Hindelang.
