The Brenztopf is the source of the Brenz. In a rock-enclosed basin, the spring water flows out of the porous rock about five meters below the water surface and then pours out of the pond into the river. As usual for karst springs, the spring water flows at different speeds. On average, more than 1,000 liters per minute gush from the source, but usually it is even much more. This makes the Brenz spring one of the strongest springs in all of Germany.
The fast flowing water has been harnessed for a long time. A hammer mill used to be operated here and today electricity is generated with the flowing water.

Beautifully prepared and opened. Well worth a look. I recommend coming from above as the view from above is more beautiful. Green-blue water, unfortunately not as beautiful in the pictures as live.

Right next to a Kneipp basin to cool feet. The Brenzersprung is a place to stay for a long time.
