The station houses were built between 1825 and 1830. The individual scenes are represented with wooden figures. The Marktheidenfeld Kreuzweg does not consist of 14 stations, as usual, but of 15. The 15th station shows "the personified four continents and thus the entire world that venerates the cross". It's relatively short, but steep.
